I partner with only the best labs and production houses, and only offer albums that meet my standards for both print and material quality. Your album will be a true heirloom.

The Album Production Process

First, choose your album line & style
If your album came included in a wedding or portrait package, we'll let you know by email where to begin, then you can use the information below and decide if you'd like to upgrade size or line. If you are also adding companion albums for family, we have two options for this, and your album information email will have all the details. If you choose to upgrade the size or level of your included album, your upgrade prices will begin with the difference between the base album that was included, and the base album you select for your upgrade. From that point, you work your way across the chart to determine the prices
If you are purchasing an album separate from a package inclusion or adding additional albums, start by determining your size and line, and we will process a retainer fee based on this starting point in order to begin your album, with the final amount assessed upon your final approval of the album, with payment to occur before the order is placed. This retainer fee is a deposit on the final amount, and is non-refundable.
Next, choose your images:
We'll give you more guidance with this along the way, but in general aim for roughly 2-3 images per page (maximum 3 per page). At 3 images per page, with some images being featured full-page and full-spread, the other images will start to become quite small on the page and the album will feel crowded. Albums generally start at 20 pages, meaning an ideal layout includes roughly 40-50 images - as you move towards 3 images per page, we recommend adding at least a few pages so that the average comes down a bit and the layouts don't become too cramped. We can show you several samples of albums that include an excellent balance of images in this range, or less; as well as solutions we've come to with special requests for higher numbers of images.
The average album for a one-day wedding ends up being 30 or so pages (60-80 images). Albums for multi-day celebrations average 50 pages (approximately 100 images and up). And we've produced larger albums for all types of weddings! It's also possible to order fewer than 20 pages with some specific album types if you have something in mind.
You'll indicate your selection of images to us using the collection feature in your web gallery - the instructions for this will be in an email for you.
Then... layout, proofing, and approval:
At this point I'll need a few business days (don't worry - I work quickly on these!) to complete your layout and post this first draft in our convenient new online proofing system. You'll be able to comment directly on the pages and images on the screen as to changes you'd like me to make (easiest system ever - I wish I had found it 10 years ago!). Once submitted, the changes will take a couple of business days. All albums include up to two rounds of changes (Changes requested beyond the included two rounds are charged per-page-changed.) Once you've given final approval, the album is ready to print, and we'll have it off to our publisher labs within the next few days! (All upgrade and balance payments are due before the album is uploaded for print). Regular shipping to our studio office is included, and we'll arrange pickup or delivery with you. If you need albums shipped out of Winnipeg, or need them with rush shipping, there will normally be an additional shipping fee for this.
Lastly - order, printing, and delivery!
Once you've approved the online proof, we'll finalize any balance owing for the album, upgrades, and any additional rounds of changes or special requests. All albums are special order items, and as such must be paid in full before the final order is placed with my partner labs. Purchases are non-refundable, however your satisfaction with the quality of the final product is ensured! Following approval and payment, most albums take roughly 3-4 weeks to produce and deliver - some materials and options take additional time - and your album will be here at the studio for you!

the lower the investment price on your album & options!
We want you to have your album as soon as possible, which means two things: 1) helping you begin the process as soon after your wedding or portrait session as possible, and 2) working with you to complete the layout and proofing as efficiently as we can once you begin. With this in mind, we offer big discounts for quick selections & proofing, and of course I'll do my part too - I'll always have my process complete within a couple of business days!

Fun fact - in this last season, all albums so far have been completed within the 3 month period (...and the current record is under a week!) ((I may need to rethink this discount thing...))
