Prints & Mounts

Gallery Quality Prints and Mounted Canvases, Metals, and Acrylics

Your wedding, Your family, Your story, Your memories...

...let me help you display them

I believe in capturing your moments, milestones, and memories, so you can share your stories with those most important to you. I want to help you preserve and share them in the most beautiful ways possible.

Print your story

A file just doesn't do your memories, your story, justice - and it certainly doesn't last. Social media moments disappear in days, even in hours - lost to a timeline in the possibility that a few people will scroll down a feed once or twice. Feed algorithms change, timelines are lost, social accounts are abandoned, devices are replaced, hard drives fail, device syncing misses, cloud accounts expire... and those captured moments are lost

That's why I focus on beautiful fine art prints, and collections of memories in an album, as the best and only lasting option - these are what lasts. It's these that you'll see every day, that will hang on your walls for years, and that your family will be able to flip through generations later.

Because of the vast array of variables involved in the process, no retail or home printing can match the beauty, impact, and lasting quality of a print or album produced by your photographer and a dedicated partner lab from original image data, and printed by industry leading techniques on the highest quality materials. I develop close relationships with only the best suppliers to be sure that this is what you receive.

Quality Matters...

These prints won't fade,

Canvases won't peel,

Pages won't warp,

Bindings won't break.

Mounted Print Options - Float, Metal, Canvas, Acrylic

(Scroll down for frame-ready “loose” print options)

Nothing compares to the look and longevity of moving past a basic frame and into gallery mounting options. Nearly all of the above sizes - and even some custom sizes - can be mounted on plaque/float substrates, or canvas (the classic beauty), metal (my personal favourite - and stunning for black & white prints especially!), and acrylic (the crown jewel of print display).

Another advantage of mounting? No cropping! Cameras all photograph a 2x3 ratio, yet you'll notice almost none of the standard frame sizes match! 8x10, 11x14, 16x20...none of them are 2x3! Every time you print a standard print size for a standard off-the-rack frame, you lose some of your image. The only way around this is a frame with a custom layout or matte (which we can do for you and match any frame size with a "loose print" below), or to mount the image. This lets you display the whole image, the way we captured it for you in the first place.  Of course, if you would like something specific, such as a square format (included below), we can certainly do this for you, and will be happy to work with you to choose the most pleasing crop (or print your uncropped image on a square with a matted backdrop), and create the display you have in mind. (The grand 30x40" size below is of course a very slight crop.)

Frame-Ready "Loose" Prints

These are unmounted 'loose prints,' printed on fine art gallery-quality papers, and will mount beautifully inside a frame. (We can also custom-quote on mounting these on a solid substrate in order to store better in case you aren't ready to frame right away, or to fill older, deeper frames.)

Note that not all frames are standardized (especially the IKEA frames!), and some may require cropping or layout - but we can match any frame size.

In order to match your custom or family heirloom frames, we'll determine the exact size needed and will custom quote for you.

Note that nearly all standard frame sizes require cropping of your images! Cameras photograph a 2x3 ratio, but only a couple of frame sizes (4x6 and 24x36) match this. It's always been this way...but it doesn't mean you have to cut your images! To avoid this need for cropping and losing parts of your images, consider a mounted print instead of a standard frame-ready size - see above for those options.

Editing & Retouching Requests: The images you've seen are considered fully retouched and complete, with all standard and included retouching already performed, although occasionally some additional minor work may be performed before large or feature printing. If you do have additional retouching requests, let us know. Please note that there are some types of additional retouching, including extended and detailed work, removal or retouching of some elements (backdrops, tattoos, tan lines, etc.), figure or other reshaping, etc., that are considered to be extended work and may require additional production fees.
